Millwood Landing Golf and RV Resort

Millwood Landing Golf and RV Resort, Ashdown Ark.

The one major thing I can say about this place is it’s extremely quiet. Road noise is so low a bird chirp drowns it out.

It is one of the many Ocean Canyon Properties scattered around the south. We have stayed at a few and they have always been extremely well maintained, quiet and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. This resort isn’t an exception.

This park is a member of Coast to Coast and is a membership type resort. Not sure how it works if you are not a member of Coast to Coast but I was told they do have a few long term campers here.

As the name implies there is an 18 hole Golf Course attached to this park. I hear tell there is a gator in residence in the water trap on the 16th hole, but I haven’t confirmed that.

There are two ponds on the property and both have fish waiting for your bait. Lots of turtles in the ponds.

This park has plenty of bird life to keep the average birth watcher busy. Red Headed Woodpeckers, Mockingbird, Swallows, Egrets and Cranes all around.

Most of the sites have concrete pads and are fairly level side to side. All have full hookups with both 30 amp and 50 amp service. The water is drinkable if you are used to well water.

There is a well keep swimming pool on site, bath and laundry facilities.

Lots of cabins if you don’t have a camper or you just want to use a cabin. Nice sized pavilion for the gathering of the clan.

The park is pet friendly and they don’t mind your dog being off leash as long as they are well behaved. Greta is grateful for that privilege.

Texarkana is approximately 20 miles south of here. Plenty of dining opportunities there if you get sick of your own cooking. Nearby Ashdown is rather small, but has a Walmart and Brookshire’s for groceries. Some resturants.

Millwood Lake is close by. I have included a link so you can see what the lake offers.
